I have walked the path of love for a long time and this has taught me that love is a loaded word, so I tend to say lovingkindness. "Love on the Inside", however, has such a beautiful ring that I am taking the leap for this offering. This kind of love, the lovingkindness kind of love, is characterized by friendly curiosity and compassion; it is a state of active goodwill. In this workshop our goal is to nurture within you and for you this fountain of lovingkindness which is your true nature. In this time where many are suffering and turning away from kindness, we are going to go radically in the opposite direction, where we will be rewarded with strength, peace, and courage.

We will explore lovingkindness from the inside, from you and for you, as a somatic experience, an embodied experience. If you've studied with me in recent years, this will weave elements of our 2024 explorations of lovingkindness and 2025 explorations of energy work; likely also 2023's explorations of inner refuge; all the threads are always weaving to create the pattern of the whole! On the other hand, if this is your first exploration of meditation: wonderful! This workshop can be a place to begin or to continue; the newcomer, the steady longtimer, and the dear friend we haven't seen in a while all offer valuable contributions to our community.

Participants have said: “There’s this ease now that I’ve been craving for so long. The meditation makes me feel safe and confident in my body.”

"The visualization gave me a set of images to return to in my personal mediation practice that has continued to give me a place of calm and freedom with surprising ease."

When lovingkindness is deeply cultivated it becomes the ground of being, the container which holds and the lens through which we see everything else. This can be a profound source of peace, understanding, clarity, and a strength which is both gentle and ferocious. We can be angry, anxious, grieving, wrong, wronged – and if we understand ourselves as lovingkindness, have cultivated curiosity and compassion as our go-to responses, we can hold these difficult emotions with more grace and discernment. Lovingkindness is the root of peace and the container which can support us in our wholeness, the full complexity of all that we are.

"I have worked with Dahlia for a few years now and always find her offering to be such a timely and supportive salve. She has a unique way of incorporating holistic practises with practical applicabilities making the techniques both so relevant and easy to engage with. I have found myself reaching for both the loving kindness practise as well as the energetic work daily. I am already looking forward to the next offering and I cannot recommend her work enough."

"As an instructor, you give off a presence of not needing anything from us that I find incredibly restful."

The name I use for these offerings is Workshops for Living – or once in a while when I'm feeling extra bold: Workshops for Loving. In them, I offer spiritual mentorship and broad support in living. This is human work – I do it all by hand, with my own mind and heart; I do not use AI in the creation of what I offer you, friends. Together we nurture our inner realms through creative contemplative meditation. We support one another in our spiritual practice and our everyday lives. We do this in a sweet, robust web of connection and belonging. We are an interfaith community with members who identify as agnostics, atheists, witches, Muslims, Jews, and Christians.

"This work has helped to transform my whole being and the way I relate to the world."

"I felt so much permission from inside myself."

Teaching & Community: Weekly Gatherings

Teaching will be shared in 10 weekly sessions of meditation and conversation from 8-9 Pacific on Saturday mornings. You can join live – or watch the recording later, as suits you best. Zoom recordings will be available until the opening of the next workshop in January 2026. The meditation portion of each gathering is also shared as an MP3 audio file which you may download and keep. The trust and understanding we build in our conversations create a loving, thoughtful community.

SCHEDULE: We will meet weekly from Saturday September 20th through Saturday November 22.

"Meditations were so easy to drop into, and gave me more value than any other meditations I've done. I've never had actual insight from meditation before."

"Oh my God, I literally might not need therapy ever again if I just do this everyday!!"

1:1 Support

Connecting with me in private conversation brings greater intimacy and immediacy to your experience. Most people choose to engage in conversation about how the seeds of practice are taking root in their personal lives; we share personal counsel and coaching. You might also use this time for guidance in yoga, self-massage, to work with energetic healing, or to have me create a personal meditation recording. All of my skills are available for you during these sessions. Depending upon the Weave you choose, you get one or two 1-hour private sessions.

"The gifts Dahlia brings in the form of intuition, empathic listening, resourcing and encouragement are a testament to her deep knowledge of spirituality, meditation, mind/body medicine and relationships. Our work together reminds me of who I am and how I want my life to be."

Sharing Circles

Each week there is a written conversation. We take turns sharing to keep the volume of reading enjoyable and feasible. Folks might speak about their experience of our practice, how the work is blossoming in their living, or what's going on in their personal lives right now. They may pose questions or ask for advice. I reply to each person's share with a personal letter full of encouragement, support, teaching, and advice. Everyone who joins the Deep or Core Weave gets to read all of the Sharing Circle posts and my replies to them. Folks who join the Deep Weave share twice, Core Weave once. The Light Weave does not participate in the Sharing Circle.

"I am still blown away by Dahlia's response to my questions. I feel that each of her responses to my posts are like little love letters to me as I practice, which motivates me even more."

Touchstone Pods

Quick, love-drenched, daily conversations by text are optional in small peer groups; I aim for pods of 3. It's astonishing how transformational a few quick minutes of daily connection can be! This little reminder of the values and practices we are working with along with loving witness and social support threads into our living like honey, like stardust. Folks often choose to continue these relationships beyond the workshop.

Participation Options & Pricing

Please feel welcome to reach out to discuss which option might best suit your needs. Partial scholarships are often available from our generous community.

Your spot is reserved when you register with your $200 deposit. Balance is due by September 23. Please simply reach out if a longer payment would be helpful. Contributions toward scholarship are warmly received and will be granted to someone in the current workshop.
